Party Poker review
Party Poker used to be the King and Queen of the online poker universe a few years ago. It was the first truly massive online poker success story, which made its owners rich beyond the wildest imaginations of common folks like you and I. Unfortunately for the operation though, it was ill-prepared to take a blow like the one delivered by the 2006 UIGEA. Most of its players had been US based before the infamous piece of legislation denied the room the right to keep welcoming them at its tables.
In the wake of the UIGEA, Party Poker has been relegated to a middle of the pack status. Its US player base gone, Party Poker was forced to turn its focus to the European market, although the management has never really given up hope to return to the US one day. Negotiations with the DoJ, concerning a possible return of the brand to the US, are ongoing even now.
The software used by Party Poker is an in-house creation. Party Poker has a network of its own, which means that while it does not have any network policies to obey, it does have responsibilities.
The software has gone through a major overhaul a few years ago and it is now a veritable monster. The graphics are smooth and crisp, and all the options that should be there are there. The lobby features a clean layout and it’s extremely easy to navigate. The stability cannot be questioned and the speed is excellent. Multi tabling is also supported.
